Today in class, we discussed the treatment Hester has received from different members of the community, including children, clergymen, strangers, and fellow sinners. It is important to notice that she has remained in the community despite this treatment.

Your first journal responses were due today and I only received a handful. If you did not turn one in today, you have until tonight to e-mail me your response (5 points off) or else it will be 10 points off tomorrow. Again, my e-mail address is: meghan.kazer@gmail.com

These responses are counting as quiz grades, and thus, should be taken seriously. I won't be as lenient next time. Your next entry is due Monday, November 22, so start thinking ahead!

For homework, please have chapters 7-8 read for Wednesday.
